3. Dogye station

Now arriving at Dogye station.

I didn't expect to stop raining but just hope to rain slightly....

Look around station inside first until rain becomes lightly.

And Airport Railroad ad attached on board. This station is far from Incheon airport over 200km, but whoever knows?

When some people go abroad, they maybe will take this train.

The Solan tunnel ad is hanging on the top of the wall.

In that time, it was under construction, but now it already opened.

The most famous thing in Dogye station is rope railway for mine train.

Time is enough to take the next train, so I decide to see that.

There is monument in front of station. Maybe it's for workers who died at the mine.

There are so many stores are closed even it was weekday. Because this is rural area and most of people are moved to city.

It also called "incline railway" that hang the rope at the train and lift up to the hill.

It operates very few times but this is only remain railway in S.Korea. In the old days, one more incline line remained at Yeongdong main line but now it has been closed.

And there is another landmark 'short water tower' in dogye station that resignated as cultural asset, but I forgot to check it.

The waiting room is inside at the platform.

Dogye station doesn't have roof, so passenger have to wait the train inside this room when rainning

Usually, one panel has one track direction, but this station has merged both.

Maybe Korail wants to reduce the panel install cost at the small stations.

Many coal cars are parking at the empty rails.

There some different length trains are running at the Yeongdong line. Therefore many stop signs are on the ground.

Each stop sign means 3 cars, 5 cars and 7 cars.
