7. Taebaek station

So much time are left to take inbound train, visit another station more.

I sit on car No.1, but this car has personal table even though Mugunghwa train.

This car calls "Haetae First car". I didn't notice beacuse it looks same as normal Mugunghwa cars.

My ticket only permit on normal seat, so I quit it.

The monorail can be seeing when depart on Gohan station.

That monorail is for local residents to climb hill easily.

This is Chujeon station between Gohan station and Taebaek station, and it is the highest station in South Korea.(855m)

But passengers demand is very low, every regular trains pass this station.

Train runs very fast while passing this station, It's hard to capture entire station clearly.

Now arriving at Taebaek station. It still remains old neon sign that used on 80's usually.

Taebaek station is the main station of Taebaek line. Every regular trains are stopped at this station.

[No period in safety]

At that time however, Korail made many accidents(like KTX derailment) in 2011. So this poster felt little ridiculous.

Now it's better than that time...maybe.

Taebaek bus terminal is in front of the station. Passenger can transfer easily between train and intercity/local bus.

Taebaek station is located at above the hill. Passenger have to go upstairs for take the train.

Platform, ticket booth and waiting room are on the 2nd floor and 1st floor is vacant space, eventually.

Finally return to home. But this train is last inbound train and that day was weekend evening. That means....

No vacant seat!

I have to sit on internet PC booth in cafeteria.

This PC booth maybe have some benefits before smart phone era howver in 2011 just useless machine. In now, it had been pull down.

Arrived at Deokso station, and day1 schedule had finished.
