1. Go to the Gudun station in heavy rain

* This trip had been in Summer, 2011.

Travel by using Rail-ro for taking the train only.

Actually, the origin purpose of this travel was 'Stop by the small station'.

But very few trains were stopping these station only, so visiting main station also planned in the trip schedule.

And collecting train stamps also planned.

Therefore, July, 3. The starting day.

It was bad wheater with heavy rain to start travel, I had no choice but to visit small stations.

Cheongnyangni Station.

Terminal station of Jungang, Yeongdong, Taebaek Line.

Train number 1631 'Mugunghwa' is the train what I had to take.

Some clouds were hanging on mountains caused by rain.

Arrived at Gudun station. but the problem was...

The platform was filling in the water.

But this is only way to go out, through the station with wetting my shoes. :(

So heavy rain was pouring, some drops stained on the lens.

Gudun station was designted as 'Registed culture heritage of Korea'. So it won't be tear down even Jungang line will moving the new line.

It feels very old building when looks slightly.

(Present, Gudun station had closed and moved on new Jungang line. Also name has changed to Ilsin station)

The station panel was wrriten in McCune-Reischauer romanization, which had used in 1990's.

These things improved the dignity of the old small station.

I couldn't take the photos, because of too much raining.

Even walking the outside little, my jeans already sweated.

The nice stone tower was in the station, but I could see only heavy rain such as waterfall.

Waiting the next train heading for Yangpyeong station.
